COTUIT — The traditional intervention, a family confrontation, is not the only way to get a loved one into treatment for addiction.

Staff members from Gosnold on Cape Cod staged three scenarios Tuesday night before an audience of more than 100 people at Cotuit Center for the Arts to demonstrate how it is possible to step in before a substance-use disorder becomes critical. One scene was set in a pediatrician’s office. Another showed how a recovery coach in an emergency room can steer an overdose survivor into treatment rather than back to the streets. Read More..
