Gosnold to Open New Partial Hospitalization Location in Plymouth, MA, Offering Both In-Person and Virtual Services for Adults
Plymouth, MA – February 27, 2024 – Gosnold, a leading provider of behavioral health and addiction treatment services, is pleased to announce the opening of a new Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) location in Plymouth, MA. The new facility, located at 64 Industrial Park Drive, will commence operations this spring, offering comprehensive day treatment services specializing in mental health and co-occurring disorders for adults.
Patients will attend the program Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing adults with focused, goal-oriented treatment in a less restrictive, non-inpatient environment. Patients will have access to psychiatric medication management and case management services in addition to receiving intensive group therapy sessions incorporating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychoeducation, and expressive therapy. Gosnold will also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy at the Plymouth PHP location. EMDR is a highly effective psychotherapy approach that has been proven to help individuals process distressing memories and traumatic experiences. By stimulating bilateral brain activity through guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR enables patients to reprocess traumatic memories in a safe and controlled environment.
Richard Curcuru, CEO of Gosnold, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion into Plymouth, stating, “At Gosnold, we are dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality behavioral health services to individuals in need. The addition of our Partial Hospitalization Program in Plymouth underscores our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of our community, whether in person or virtually.”
Gosnold’s Partial Hospitalization program is designed for individuals transitioning from inpatient or residential treatment to outpatient care and those presenting to the emergency room with structured treatment needs. Upon arrival, a comprehensive clinical assessment will be conducted by a case manager to determine the appropriate level of care.
