Outpatient Groups

At Gosnold, we know a successful recovery does not end with the completion of a treatment plan; we offer ongoing recovery support for our patients and their families.  We are committed to the community and provide family education, school-based counseling, medical care integration, and support prevention coalitions.

Women’s Recovery Group

For adult women with at least 30 days of sobriety.  The group focuses on a variety of issues including self-esteem, boundaries, relationships and communication issues related to promoting a lasting recovery.

Dual Diagnosis Recovery Group

A recovery group for patients with addiction and co-occurring psychiatric diagnosis.  The group focus is to develop healthy coping skills to live substance-free and manage emotional symptoms.

Early Recovery Group

This group is focused on skills enhancement in the early recovery process, (early recovery being within the first 6 months of attempting sobriety).  Emphasis of treatment is centered around relapse prevention.  This is a process oriented group combined with didactic material for successful recovery plans.  We will also address the various recovery groups, and their functions, i.e. NA, AA, etc.  It is recommended that a client attend this weekly group for between 8 to 12 sessions.

Mindfulness Recovery Group

Men and women over 18 years old working on recovery, mindfulness practice, stress management, overcoming depression and resisting compulsions.

Seeking Safety (Women Only)

For women dealing with a history of abuse/violence, addiction and/or mental health issues.  To help learn safe coping and self-care tools.

Safe, Sober, Stable

For persons with dual diagnoses.
