Richard Curcuru - President & Chief Executive Officer

Richard Curcuru, MSW, LICSW, oversees operations including the direct management, operational performance, implementation and outcome monitoring and strategic planning of the entire continuum of services Gosnold provides. Richard has over 30 years of clinical and leadership experience in the behavioral health field with experience in inpatient, partial hospital, and outpatient managed care organizations in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining Gosnold, Richard served as the Executive Director of Behavioral Medicine for the Tenet Northeast Market and in this role was responsible for the overall strategic leadership and oversight of the continuum of clinical services of three hospitals in Massachusetts. Before that he was Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services for Cape Cod Healthcare with responsibility for the operational leadership of all behavioral health programs within the large two-hospital system on Cape Cod. Richard has had other senior leadership positions, including at The Home for Little Wanderers and McLean Hospital and also has an extensive clinical experience providing direct care to children, incarcerated adults and clients with significant addiction problems. Richard earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Westfield State University and his Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College.

Allie Anderson - Chief Clinical Officer

Allie Anderson, MSW, LICSW, Chief Clinical Officer at Gosnold, manages the operations of Gosnold’s nine outpatient and mobile treatment facilities both on and off of the Cape. The sites provide mental health and dual diagnosis treatment utilizing a variety of services across the continuum of care in order to provide individualized service plans that are patient specific. Allie has over 15 years of experience in the behavioral health and dual diagnosis field working with children, adults, older adults, individuals and families. Areas of expertise include: diagnostic testing for older adults, child and family therapy, inpatient, Partial Hospital Program (PHP), Driver Alcohol Education (DAE), Structured Outpatient Addictions Program (SOAP), Second Offender Aftercare Program (SOA) and outpatient managed care. Prior to joining Gosnold, Allie was the Senior Regional Director of Outpatient Services as well as the Chief of Social Work at Tenet Healthcare. While in this position she was responsible for the oversight at MetroWest Medical Center, Natick and St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester: psychiatric emergency department, inpatient social workers, partial hospital program, intensive outpatient services, and the 24 hour call center. In this role Allie had the opportunity to expand the outpatient services to include 3 new programs that specialized in the treatment of mental health and dual diagnosis. Before working at Tenet, she was the Director of the Partial Hospital Program and SOAP for Arbour, Inc, Norwell. While working at Arbour Allie was able to once again build upon the current services to include a new dual diagnosis partial hospital program and DAE services. Allie has had other Director Positions, including at Golden Pond Psychiatric Assisted Living Unit and Arbour HRI. Allie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College.

Michael Cawley - Chief Human Resources Officer

Michael Cawley, MBA, leads the Human Resources and Training & Development Team at Gosnold and he has oversight for the HR strategic plan and initiatives, employee engagement, HR Information Systems, employee policies, compensation and benefits, performance management, talent acquisition and training and development. Michael describes his primary objective is to ensure that Gosnold has the systems and processes in place so that employees are engaged, have opportunities for professional development, feel valued and are positioned to support the company’s mission and objectives. Michael has over 20 years of HR leadership experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Throughout his career Michael has designed and implemented innovative programs to enhance corporate culture, diversity and inclusion, improve employee performance and drive change throughout organizations. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Suffolk University and his MBA from Northeastern University.

Dr. Andrew Mann - Outpatient Medical Director

Andrew Mann, MD, is a board certified Psychiatrist who has been the Outpatient Medical Director at Gosnold since October, 2016. Dr. Mann has over 30 years of experience in the clinical and administrative care of psychiatric patients. He is currently responsible for the clinical oversight of the outpatient departments throughout the Gosnold system, as well as seeing patients in the Centerville office. Dr. Mann received his BA from Amherst College, his MD from Albany Medical College, and did his psychiatric training in Boston in the Tufts and Harvard systems. He began his career in the Henry Ford Hospital system in Detroit and then worked as the Medical Director at two other Michigan hospitals. He moved to Cape Cod in 2010 to lead the Behavioral Health Department of Cape Cod Hospital.

Jeff Modestino - Chief Financial Officer

Jeff Modestino overseas all finance, accounting, and revenue cycle management (RCM) functions at Gosnold. Jeff has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience with close to 2 decades of healthcare experience spanning medical devices, life sciences, and service organizations. Prior to Gosnold, Jeff was the Financial Officer at Invivo Therapeutics and ClearLine MD where he was responsible for all financial functions of each company including several successful public/private placements that raised over $20m of equity financing over a 2 year period. These financing rounds were critical to the future launch of early stage medical devices that addressed unmet patient needs in the area of spinal cord injury and venous air embolism. Prior to ClearLine MD, Jeff was the VP of Finance for MDeverywhere, an RCM company serving over 17,000 physicians. At MDeveywhere, Jeff played a critical role in the strategic positioning of the company that led to several successful acquisitions and a merger transaction with e-MDs. The combination of these strategic transactions has positioned e-MDs to better compete in the RCM market by offering provider organizations a full suite of financial, operational, and clinical services. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University and his MBA from Babson Graduate School.

Kevin Ralph - Chief Development & External Relations Officer

Kevin oversees our initiatives to raise funds and strengthen the organization’s relationships with its supporters. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, he will direct all areas of fundraising, marketing, communications and policy advocacy for Gosnold. His goals will be to design and implement a comprehensive plan to secure individual, philanthropic, special event, corporate, governmental and other financial support for the organization. Kevin comes to us with over 20 years of experience in the development and fundraising field. He is a seasoned nonprofit executive with a demonstrated history of success in organizational leadership, management and development. Prior to joining Gosnold he worked as the Vice President for Client Partnerships for the Angeletti Group, a consulting firm that helps organizations raise philanthropic support. Prior to that he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer for Cape Cod Healthcare where he oversaw all fundraising efforts on behalf of Cape Cod Hospital, Falmouth Hospital, the Visiting Nurse Association of the Cape & Islands and all other service-lines of the healthcare system. Kevin has had several other senior level positions in the development field throughout his career, but it all began at his alma mater, Drew University, in Madison, NJ. Here he served as an assistant men’s basketball coach while working full-time in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. He was inducted into Drew’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011 and continues to serve as an alumni volunteer. A New Jersey native, he resides in East Sandwich, MA, with his wife, Elizabeth, and son, Sawyer.

Dr. James Sullivan - Inpatient Medical Director

James Sullivan, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine and has 30 years of experience in emergency medicine, including caring for many patients with alcohol and substance use-related conditions. Dr. Sullivan is responsible for overseeing the medical care of inpatients at Gosnold, coordinating care with nurses, counselors and outpatient psychiatrists. He received his B.A. from Wesleyan University and his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Sullivan completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the George Washington University Hospital and has worked as a physician in many healthcare systems, including Falmouth Hospital, Malden Hospital, Roger Williams Medical Center and, most recently, Morton Hospital.
